Mystical Creature
love is a mystical creature
one people have heard of
yet never have laid eyes upon
although it has never been conquered
people still believe,
but they must
a world without love
is lost in darkness

love awakens the soul
it reaches down deep
into the crevasses of your heart
and latches on with an almost suffocating grip
a force that cannot be ignored
it consumes your mind
and devours your emotion
until you are one

It forces its self upon you
like a sweet and steady rapture
hypnotized by this force
a feeling of helplessness occurs
though you do not seek to fight back
you let it have your way with you
and with no avail it takes you,
lifts you up into a state of euphoria
an unknown place that feels like home
