Sarah's Children's Poem

Just Leave Me Alone!

I don’t like kisses,
I don’t like hugs,
I wish the girl in the playground,
Would just hide under a rug!

She chases me around,
Through the monkey bars,
Then to the sandbox.
And when I turn my back,

She’ll hide in the trees,
Waiting for me,
And when I’m not looking,
She jumps down and kisses me!

So yesterday I pushed her to the ground
And I cried out loud
“I don’t like kisses, I don't like hugs!”
“Leave me alone I don’t want you around!”

Today I didn’t see her,
She was nowhere to be found.
Then I saw her chasing another boy.
And I started to frown.

I don’t like kisses,
I don't like hugs,
And I don’t like her,
But I miss the being chased all over the playground.
It is kind of strange,
When I grow up will it be this way?
